We just got a new car a few months ago and I am really getting tired of the upholstery. It has leather seats, and whilst pretty and easy to keep clean, it's sticky! My bum sweats, and my legs stick to it. Give me cheap any day! What do you prefer?

Personally, I prefer cloth seats. Leather can get easily scuffed, it needs regular treatment or it dries and cracks, and it's expensive.

I'm thankful that vinyl seats have gone the way of the dinosaur - my dad used to have a Renault with black vinyl seats and if you forgot about it after the car had been sat out in the sun on a hot summer's day for a few hours, you'd be scraping yourself off the inside of the car roof.  Shocked

Unfortunately that is how things are STILL with child restraint seats. So many of them come in black, or dark, dark colours with black buckles with lots of metal on them. I have forgotten so many times about my daughter's seat-I normally throw a towel over it. So instead I end up having to sponge it down with a wet washcloth just so that I can put her in it without burning her poor legs.
