Do you have any experience with replacing a gear box yourself, or with stripping one? Can you get a manual for your car that talks you through it? Maybe Andy can help out here-I'm drawing a blank on the name. There is a series of books in the UK that is basically the DIY manual for that model of car-they may not make them for the very newest cars now but for all the classics I would think you could find it.

If Andy can think of the name of the book, you could ebay it, save the problems with people not being able to work on British cars by doing it yourself.

There are always manuals that you can get for your car but in turn if you have no experience in changing the gears you may want to have someone change them for you.
