I have yet seen a Mg car over here in the USa but is there any possible way that the Mg car will be sold in the United States? They are nice cars and I figure why not sale them over here. Why is it that they aren't even over here anyway?

It depends which MG you mean. MG is the manufacturer-not a car brand, and there are several cars that are referred to as MG.

MGA, 1955,
MGB GT V8, 1973,
MGB 1962, (the GT from 1964),
Then it became British Leyland and made cars under that make, which was taken over by Rover, then BMW. It is currently a part of the British owned MG Rover Group.

The MG name from about 1980 on has only been applied to certain high end versions of things like the Maestro.

So, first up the import tax to the US is HUGE. I believe that there must be an MG or two in this country, but they will not be common. Then there are the logistics and cost of having it imported.....it all gets a bit difficult.

MGs are no longer being built, although I have vague recollection of reading recently that someone has bought the rights to built the MGF, etc.

However, they were indeed imported into the US, along with many other brands such as triumph, etc.

There is a car place up the road that always sells classic cars as well as imports (older models).  They had an MG at one time but that was several years ago.
