Missing my mini every day

The British car industry has a wonderful history. Starting building in the early 50's, it reached it's peak around the 80's when the British manufacturers were well known on the world scene, and even leaders for a time.

Then it all went down hill. Anybody care for a discussion on why that happened?

I am afraid the Great British car industry (and motorbikes) went the way of the dinosaur, and for much the same

reasons.When the Japanese and continentals came in they refused to move with the times for too long, and then when

they did they killed off real classics like the Morris 1000 quite deliberately,to make way for totally unsuitable replacements

like the 1100 and 1300 which never really did the business over a period of time    Sad
